Should we look at nature to teach us what is right from wrong or should we do what everybody else does? I look at nature.
In nature when bearded dragons hatch they run to find a SOLITARY and thriving environment, FREE from fellow siblings, predators and even other species of dragon. They are not social creatures, their first and strongest instinct is to get away from all other and stay away until their hormones drive them to mate. Even then, they mate and disappear never to be seen together again.
They do not long to be with another, do not miss the company of a friend, they do not feel loneliness, THEY WANT TO BE ALONE. They thrive alone! We cannot change or even slightly alter DNA, so why do humans think they can go against everything that makes a dragon? Why do people force dragons to be together, helpless, locked up, trapped in human homes? What sick desire is it that drives people to play god, to act so inhumane?
So what happens when they are forced to be together?
Most live a miserable life. Stressed. Dominate or be dominated. Fight. Cant claim their own instinctive territory. Wonder what they have done to deserve this cruelty. Ride each other in dominance, bob in dominance, wave in submission, change and even stay dark brown, grey to even black from depression and being stressed. Stress damages the body in ways similar to humans, lowered immune, appetite, stunted growth and development, egg production, egg bound, shortened life, the list is endless. In your mind they are getting along but this is just because you do not understand dragon language, you will come home to missing toes, cashes, tails bitten even bitten off .... some wounds are so severe that the dragon dies.
None of these behaviours are natural. These behaviours only happen when and IF they ever encounter another dragon in claimed territory. Most do not live a long, fulfilled, happy, natural, thriving life, it is stolen away from them.
2 Males together will kill each other.
A male and female together will breed until the female's life is completely depleted and she dies a young age.
2 Females together may or may not fight but most are always stressed, will always have to dominate or be dominated.

What life is this?
Oh but they've been together since birth - Yes and thereafter were forced to stay together! They will NEVER choose to be together if they were still free!
EVERYTHING INSIDE THEM DRIVE THEM TO LIVE A SOLITARY LIFE!
I have come across a website that has dragon fighting videos. I honestly thought that it would only be videos that were taken in the wild, but it is not! People get some sick pleasure out of seeing them fight! Is this now the new hobby, instead of pit bull fighting we now have this? Bearded Dragons are the MOST loving and gentle creatures that I have EVER come across, they trust so easily, give so much and ask nothing but to be alone.
How can they live with themselves?
If you are in a situation where you cannot separate your dragons because of space limit or financial problems then please keep them in the biggest cage that you can find and always keep an eye on them. Unfortunately you will never be able to relax and know that they are safe 24/7 for the duration of their life.
